NASUWT National Executive Report

May 2019

Kathy Duggan & Chris Holland National Executive Members for Inner London.

Inner London was well represented at National Conference in Belfast. Lewisham’s Cynthia Harding seconded our composited motion on Teachers’ Mental Health. The motion was passed unanimously and was one of the most popular motions on the agenda.Lewisham’s Cynthia Harding seconded our composited motion on Teachers’ Mental Health

Omolo Johnson from Southwark spoke extremely well on being a supply teacher and Ryan Foster from Lambeth wowed the floor of conference in his shorts - speaking very eloquently on CPD! Thank you to all the members who came to Belfast and we look forward to seeing even more of you in Birmingham next year.

We have been somewhat successful in pressing for our advice on serious and violent incidents involving teachers at work to be reissued by the national union. It is on its way.

We have lots of new members from Primary Schools. You are Very welcome to the best teachers’ trade union!
